As an owner of a commercial cleaning service, I have gone through many mops in a search to find the best and most efficient one on the market. Cleaning multiple facilities nightly and dealing with various types of flooring, it has been a true challenge to find one mop that was the most effective for flooring of all types. After trying different models of self dispensing mops, I finally found the best spray mop of them all. The Bottle Rocket mop from MicrofiberWholesale.com.
Are you looking for a mop for your home? Maybe you own a professional cleaning service? Whether you are seeking a mop for personal or professional use, it is important to have the right tool for the job. Having the right equipment makes all the difference in quality. Furthermore, the final cleaning results, as well as the efficiency of the task at hand, are equally important factors. While there are never ending mop options to decide from, I find that a self dispensing spray mop is best to do the job right.
Which Spray Mop is Best For My Floors?
The Bottle Rocket spray mop is ideal for all types of flooring from laminate, hardwood, ceramic tile, VCT, vinyl and more. So, when cleaning hard surface flooring, especially those that are less resistant to water, it is beneficial to use minimal liquid for many reasons including:
Fast dry times – Allowing floors to be walked on sooner.
Eliminate slip and falls – Prevent injuries and insurance claims.
Reduce risk of floor damage – Avoid common issues that result from over-wetting floors
Best Spray Mop For Hardwood Floors and Laminate
When cleaning floors, such as natural wood, and especially laminate, it is recommended to avoid mopping systems, such as the traditional string mop and bucket. As a cleaning expert, I always suggest using a microfiber flat mop, particularly for hardwood and laminate flooring. Not all microfiber flat mops systems are created equal. Some require you to pre-wet your pads. Others, you dip the mop pad in a bucket and wring it out to the best of your ability. Thus, no other mop compares to the quality and ease of use that comes with a Bottle Rocket.
How the Bottle Rocket Spray Mop Works
The Bottle Rocket spray mop is the most user friendly, easy to use mops available. The Bottle Rocket comes equipped with a pressurized refillable solution tank, a button on the top of the handle, and a spray nozzle on the lower part of the mop pole.
Fill the solution tank with your favorite cleaning product.
Use handle on the top of the solution tank to pressurize the system.
Lightly press on the top of the mop handle to release cleaning product.
With the three steps listed above, the solution is evenly distributed onto the floor in front of your mop pad for you to easily clean the floor. Finally, simply press down on the top of the handle as needed to apply however much or however little cleaning solution you need.
Invest in a Proven Mopping System
To conclude, my past research has brought me to many websites and articles about which mop is ‘best’. I imagine you have done your homework as well. Therefore, if you are in need of a mop that will allow you to:
Put an end to waste water.
Use less chemical.
Drastically reduce the amount of water needed to mop.
Among many other benefits, the Bottle Rocket spray mop may be the mop for you.
Therefore, my company, Sawgrass Cleaning Solutions, has fully invested in the Bottle Rocket mop. This is because it has increased efficiency, eliminated worker fatigue, and ultimately enabled us to provide countless clients with cleaner floors and therefore healthier workplaces. Thus, I recommend the Bottle Rocket mop, and suggest you give it a try so you can see what makes it the best microfiber spray mop on the market.

How do our once beautiful phone cases start to look so bad? Since we use our phones every single day, they become exposed to environmental conditions such as UV radiation, humidity, heat, dust, friction, etc.. This puts constant wear and tear on their surfaces, which can result in stains. But even if you don’t have any visible stains on your phone case, it’s always best to keep your case clean of any germs and bacteria. This is especially true since your cell phone might be dirtier than a toilet seat. Here we list different methods for how to clean phone cases, depending on what type of phone case you possess:
Plastic & Silicone Phone Cases
For the best way on how to clean silicone phone cases, start by combining dish soap and water in a bowl. When the water is soapy, place your phone case into the bowl and let it soak for several minutes. You may need to place a weight onto the case to keep it submerged.
To remove stains and to clean around the edges, gently scrub with a toothbrush. You can also add baking soda if you find a very stubborn stain. Continue scrubbing until all dirt is removed, then rinse your phone case in cold water. This even works great on clear plastic phone cases. You can then dry your case with a microfiber cloth to suck up the water without scratching your case. We recommend our suede microfiber cloth, since it’s super soft and the flat weave ensures no lint or streaks are left behind. Before placing the case back onto your phone, let it air dry for about an hour to ensure there is no remaining moisture.
If Your Phone Case Is White
If your silicone phone case is white and only lightly dirty, you can wash and dry your case with the same method as above. However, white cases can get dirtier faster, and often turn yellow or wind up with very obvious stains. So, if you need more cleaning power for your white phone case, go ahead and mix bleach and water in a bowl. Only a small amount of bleach should be used, as too much can damage silicone cases. You can dilute one teaspoon of bleach in warm water, then place your case into the solution for a few minutes. The bleach should help remove tough stains and yellowing.
Like silicone cases, rubber phone cases can be easily cleaned with a mixture of dish soap and water. This is the most basic way on how to clean phone cases. Soak the case in the soapy water and clean around the edges with a toothbrush. Then, wipe down the rubber case with a microfiber towel. If there are still stains on your rubber phone case, you can dampen the cloth with isopropyl alcohol and wipe again. You can also add a little borax to the soapy water and let your rubber case sit in the solution for an hour. Always use a flat woven lint free microfiber cloth to dry on rubber, like our microfiber suede cloths. This will prevent streaking and lint being left behind.
Some stains are more stubborn than others, especially white rubber or clear rubber cases. So if you still can’t get rid of all of the dirt, try making a paste of baking soda and water. Spread the paste over your rubber case and let it dry for a few hours. Then, brush away the paste and rinse your case. If you wanted to know how to clean rubber phone cases thoroughly, try this method.
Wood is the most delicate phone case surface, thus it is more important to dust your wood phone cases more often. This will prevent oil, dirt, and debris from sinking in or scratching the surface. If possible, avoid water when cleaning your wood phone case. Too much contact with water can cause wood to deteriorate. Instead, maintain your wood case by regularly cleaning with a dry microfiber cloth. While tissues or other cloths can leave scratches on wood, microfiber cloths contain delicate fibers that suck up dirt without harming the surface.
For tougher grime on your wood phone case, you can slightly dampen the microfiber cloth with a small amount of water and wipe. If it is extra sticky residue, add a few drops of white vinegar to water and dip your cloth in the solution. Never apply a liquid directly to the wood case, always apply to the cloth. Then use a dry microfiber cloth to soak up any excess water. Since wood is porous use a fluffy or terry microfiber cloth to dry wood. This will ensure you are absorbing into the small cracks and crevices.
Tip: Make sure when you are cleaning and drying you are going with the grain.
Leather Phone Case
Leather phone cases are best cleaned with a mild solution. You can lightly clean your leather case with mild hand soap, and a damp microfiber cloth. Apply the soap onto the cloth and distribute evenly. If you have a mild cleaner, use it along with a dry cloth. When drying, use a plusher terry type microfiber cloth, instead of a flat woven type. The is because leather is porous, so you want to make sure you are getting into the smallest cracks and crevices of the material.
Always make sure you are being as gentle as possible when cleaning and drying, rubbing in circular motions. This will ensure you are not stretching the leather. Keep in mind that different products and solutions you are using on your leather case can alter its look and color, so the simpler the cleaning job the better.
Tip: To restore and condition your leather use Saddle Soap.
Why Microfiber Cloths Are A Necessity
No matter what kind of phone case you have, microfiber is essential if you want to know how to clean phone cases properly. That’s because microfiber is soft enough to not scratch, small enough to pick up debris, and absorbent enough to dry thoroughly! In fact, microfiber is so small that it can effectively remove many germs and bacteria with just water.
It’s important to regularly clean your phone case to prevent any dirt, residue, and grimy buildup. With a combination of cleaning mixtures and microfiber cloths, you can effectively clean your phone case no matter what type of case it is. Whether it’s silicone or wood, you can count on a microfiber cloth to fully clean your phone case without any damage.

With sunny days ahead, there’s no better time to give your car the quality shine it deserves. With that being said, we all know sunny weather makes car drying a bit more challenging. That’s because if the sun dries the water, soap, or detailing product before you do, streaks form! So the best way to dry a car before the sun does is to use microfiber towels.
Microfiber towels are probably the best investment you can make when it comes to cleaning and drying your car. Not only are microfiber towels extremely absorbent, but they are comprised of durable fibers that suck away surface debris instead of smearing it on the surface. Plus they are so small they won’t scratch your paint. No one wants streaks and scratches on their paint, making microfiber towels ideal for thoroughly drying your vehicle. Here is the simplest way you can effectively dry a car by hand with microfiber in just three steps:
Make Sure To Wash Properly
If you want an ultra-clean finish after drying your car, make sure you’re washing your vehicle properly from the beginning. Proper washing means you are lifting the surface dirt and debris form your car’s surface. If you don’t, the lingering surface dirt and debris will more easily smear on your car’s surface when you are drying. Opt to wash your car in a shaded location, as sunlight can dry soap spots onto the surface. If you do wash your car in the sun, try cleaning small sections at a time so there’s no time for spots to form. Microfiber car care products work great because they not only absorb liquid, but they help remove any dirt and debris as well. We recommend using something like our Microfiber Car Wash Mitt or Buff™ Detail 400 Microfiber Towels.
For the best recommendations on Car Wash Soaps
There are plenty of high-rated car wash soaps you can use in conjunction with your microfiber towel. Combine your preferred car wash soap with warm water in a bucket. Once the water is foamy, you can soak your microfiber towel while you rinse your car with water. When you’re ready to scrub your car, your microfiber towel should be soapy. Always wash your wheels first! Then wipe your car from the top down to pick up grime and dust into the fibers of your microfiber towel. You can use a larger microfiber drying towel to cover more surface area and cut down your cleaning time. A smaller microfiber drying towel is also handy to clean tighter areas, such as around your mirrors or wheels. Be sure to rinse your towel every so often to remove dirt. If you are in need of some great car wash soaps check out these 9 best recommendations by Pressure Washerify!
Wipe With A Damp Microfiber Towel
After rinsing your car of soap and suds, it’s time to clean the surface with your microfiber towels. Soak a fresh microfiber towel in clean water and wring it out dampening the towel. A damp microfiber towel will both remove dirt and wick away water simultaneously. Plus, it reduces friction between the towel and your car for a safer way to dry without scratching. Wipe down your car from top to bottom.
Wring out your microfiber towel whenever it’s full of water before continuing, and make sure to rinse the towel if you notice it’s dirty. You don’t want any dirty or soapy water on your drying cloth as it will leave behind residue and streaks.
You might notice a thin layer of water remaining on your paint after you’re done wiping. Even if it’s a small amount of water, don’t leave this to air dry; when evaporated, the minerals from the water can leave behind marks and damage your paint. Instead, go ahead and wipe again with a dry microfiber towel until all of the water is absorbed. Another drying method we love is to lay your drying towel over an area, and pat it down letting the microfiber do the work. The microfiber will suck up any trace of minerals and leave behind a sparkling, streak-free finish.

More and more people are choosing to use natural cleaning products in their home. With the arrival of Spring, you might be wondering what are some eco-friendly alternatives you can take to clean you home. So, if you’re ready to start using safe, environmentally-friendly cleaning methods, we’ve got some awesome natural Spring Cleaning tips you can start using right away.
Opt for Castile Soap
Castile soap is a vegetable oil-based soap that works just as well as other soaps in getting rid of dirt, grease, and germs. It is nontoxic and biodegradable, so you can feel good about using Castile soap for cleaning around your home and family. We recommend using it with one of our waffle weave kitchen towels. These towels work great for scrubbing down surfaces after the soap has done its job. If you are interested in learning more, here’s a great post on how Castile Soap works.
Cleaning With Just Plain Water
Yes, you heard that correct! When used with microfiber, water can be an effective cleaner. How does it work? Well water is regarded as the universal solvent, meaning it dissolves more chemicals than any other liquid. That’s why things like dirt, dust, and food dissolve in water. After water loosens things up, microfiber can come in an effectively pick it up.
Why does it have to be microfiber? Well because microfiber is extremely small, it has millions of fibers working together to pick up and absorb the dirty water and debris. Microfiber also acts as a dust magnet! This is because microfiber has a positive charge, so it will cling onto dust , which has a negative charge. Go here for even more reasons on why to use microfiber and water to clean. This might just be the best natural Spring Cleaning tip there is!
Use Water & Vinegar
Using a combination of water and white distilled vinegar is an easy, effective, and nontoxic solution for cleaning floors, windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces. Due to vinegar’s acidity, it works great at breaking down gunk, like dried on toothpaste, soap scum, and stuck on food. It can even help kill bacteria by breaking down their cell structure.
Opt for microfiber cloths when wiping down your windows and mirrors with these solutions. Microfiber towels will ensure you remove any and all streaks and smudges from the glass. Paper towels and other types of cloths usually leave lint and scratches behind. Use our microfiber glass cleaning pack for the best results.
For naturally clean floors, use a combination of a half-cup of white distilled vinegar with a half-gallon of water. Mop this cleaning solution over your floors with a microfiber mop to make sure you collect every speck of dirt. Do not use vinegar for granite or marble surfaces, as the vinegar can damage the stone.
Stock Up On Citrus
Lemons, lemon juice, oranges, and other citrus can help to combat bacteria with their antibacterial properties. This is due to their acidity, much like vinegar. You can add lemon slices, lemon peels, or lemon juice to water or your surface cleaner to sanitize your home naturally. Other than its antibacterial properties, lemons can also remove stains and neutralize odors naturally! You can even scrub your sink with half a lemon and a sprinkle of salt so you don’t have to use any chemicals around your dishes.
Though lemons have shown to kill multiple types of bacteria, that doesn’t mean they will kill all pathogens. Lemons are great for most of your daily cleaning tasks, but for the really dirty jobs, we still recommend something stronger.
Making Your Own All-Purpose Cleaner
Now that you know how these natural cleaners work, its time to put them into action! Many store-bought cleaning agents are full of chemicals, which can be toxic. Instead of wiping harmful chemicals around your counters or spraying them in the air, you can make a simple all-purpose cleaning spray yourself with just a handful of ingredients! All of these cleaning solutions work great with microfiber products. Here are some options to make your own surface cleaner spray.
Castile soap all-purpose cleaner. Combine 2 cups of water with 2 tablespoons of Castile soap in a spray bottle. You can use the Castile soap cleaner on any surface!
Vinegar all-purpose cleaner. Combine 2 cups of water with 2 tablespoons of white distilled vinegar in a spray bottle. Do not use the vinegar cleaner for granite or marble surfaces, as the vinegar can damage the stone.
Add 10-15 drops of essential oils (lemon, orange, lavender) to these surface cleaners for a natural fragrance, especially if you want to overcome the vinegar smell.
Alternatively, you can add lemon juice to your vinegar surface cleaner for a pleasant scent. Be sure to store the cleaner in the fridge if you do so.
If you can, use distilled or filtered water in these cleaning solutions to avoid leaving residue.
Instead of cleaning with harmful chemicals that could be damaging your health, follow these natural Spring Cleaning tips for a cleaner and safer home. With just a few simple changes to your cleaning routine, you can create a more environmentally-friendly and healthy living space for you and your family.
Looking for a quick and effective way to wipe surfaces and floors around your home? Try cleaning with microfiber and water! Using just microfiber cloths or mop pads with water to clean can give your counters, glass, floors, and appliances a like-new appearance. It traps more dirt than you might think, all without chemical cleaning agents. Here’s why you should switch to cleaning with microfiber cloths and water to in your home.
Does It Really Work?
You heard it here, with just water, microfiber products can effectively take care of most of your household cleaning tasks! Why, you might ask? Well, in case you don’t remember from your science class, water is referred to as the universal solvent! This means that water dissolves more chemicals than any other solvent. It’s why things like food, dirt, and debris all dissolve in water, like when you let your dirty dishes soak in the sink. Water is also buoyant, meaning dirt and debris will be suspended within it.
Once water has done its job of pre treating your surface, microfiber comes in and does the rest! So why use microfiber over any other type of cloth?
More fibers equals more cleaners. Microfiber is extremely small, 1/100th the diameter of a human hair to be exact. This means that there are millions of tiny fibers that work together to pick up dirt and absorb spills.
Removes Germs & Bacteria. Does cleaning with water and microfiber remove bacteria? Well, since microfiber is so tiny, they’re small enough to remove many harmful germs and bacteria. This makes other tasks such as picking up common household dust an easy task! Plus if you have a high quality towel, the microfiber will be split. This means it has even more space to trap bacteria in the fibers. For more info check this article, by Infection Control Today, microfiber has been laboratory and clinically tested to remove bacteria and viruses with just water.
Dust Magnet: Positively charged microfiber clings to dust and dirt, which have a natural negative charge.
More absorbent! Microfiber has been tested to hold up to 7 times its weight in water, so you’ll get more done with just one towel or mop pad. We’ve explained what makes microfiber great in even more detail how microfiber works.
5 Benefits Of Cleaning With Just Using Microfiber & Water
Avoid Spreading Harmful Chemicals In Your Home: Perhaps the best reason to clean with only a microfiber cloth and water is to avoid applying chemicals around your home. Cleaning agents have tons of chemicals in them, just read the labels and you’ll see words like “caution” or “hazardous”. Using microfiber and water is a healthier way to clean, plus the eco-friendly benefit of less chemical pollutants in the air.
Remove More Dirt Than Cotton Cloths: Did you know microfiber and water can actually get you a cleaner finish than using cotton and cleaning agents. Unlike cotton, which are larger and have a flat surface, microfibers are smaller and have a split surface. This split surface makes microfiber a great scrubber. It traps the dirt within its fibers instead of smearing it around.
Polishing Your Stainless Steel: Microfiber cloths used with warm water is a great way to shine your stainless steel appliances. Simply take a damp microfiber cloth and wipe away grime and smears. Once clean, you can take a dry microfiber cloth to buff the surface, and you’re done! Run your microfiber cloth in the direction of the stainless steel polish lines, this way you won’t leave behind any marks from the minerals in the water as you clean.
Get a Streak-Free Finish On Glass: Here’s an easy way to get streak free mirrors and windows, no windex needed! Dampen an all-purpose microfiber cloth with water. This will loosen and remove most of the gunk on your mirror. Then use a microfiber glass cloth to dry and remove the remaining debris. This towel has a flat weave, which acts like a squeegee on your mirror preventing streaks from forming. Cleaning mirrors with water and microfiber is a natural and healthy way to get the job done!
Save Money, Save Time! By cleaning with microfiber and water you’ll spend much less on cleaning agents. In fact, by choosing to clean with only with water, you can preserve your towels for much longer before you need to replace them. Want 5 Star Reviews? With the Spring season among us, plenty of people will be seeking professional residential cleaning services. How do you impress customers when they turn to you for home cleaning or for maid service? We looked at a variety of both positive and negative reviews for some of the most popular maid services. Based on our findings, here are some ways you can exceed customer expectations this Spring and hopefully get those 5 star reviews and great referrals.
Provide Customized Cleaning Plans
Customers love being able to choose what needs to be cleaned; after all, who knows what needs to be cleaned better than the homeowners? Having an unchangeable task list during every visit will not give customers the flexibility they want in their cleaning. Instead, opt for customized plans, where the client can change the list of items to clean. Not only will the client be able to pinpoint what they would like cleaned, but you’ll know what exactly what areas to focus on during your service.
Create A Cleaning Checklist For Both Cleaner & Client
Speaking of lists, many customers find it helpful if they are given a checklist of cleaning services that are to be provided. Create a checklist of cleaning items you plan to complete and give a copy to your client so that both cleaner and client know what work was done. This is a great way to avoid any confusion down the road.
Provide Cleaning That Is Not Just Thorough, But Consistent
We’ve found that many client complaints involve inconsistency. One of the top complaints is seeing a decline in quality work as time goes on. Customers will often compare current and previous service visits, whether it’s from the same or different provider. If their home is not cleaned as thoroughly as before, clients will take note of the inconsistency and it will affect their decision to hire the cleaning service in the future.
Another common complaint is that the cleaner missed certain areas they were supposed to clean. For instance, mopping the floors in the kitchen but missing the counters. Clients expect thoughtful attention from their cleaning service.
A Stellar Personality Goes A Long Way
More than anything else, customers value a pleasing personality. Pair high-quality cleaning skills with a friendly and courteous demeanor and you’ll win over any client. Sometimes we forget how important personality is when it comes to cleaning services, but it should come as no surprise that a great personality leads to more business. When you are friendly and respectful, you build trust with your clients. When your clients trust you, they’re more likely to hire you again and to refer you to people they know. That’s why hiring the right employees for your residential cleaning business is so important! See how Regina DeCorte of Maid in JCmakes this possible.
Be Attentive To Clients’ Needs
Actively listen to your clients’ requests when they hire your cleaning service. Sure, they want you to clean and tidy up their home, but maybe they don’t want you to use chemical cleaners or they have a particular method of cleaning the bathroom. No matter what the customer specifies, it’s important that you are listening to their needs. Confirm exactly what the client wants before you begin cleaning, and don’t be afraid to ask questions if you’re not sure what they are asking for.
Maintain Good Communication Throughout The Cleaning Service
Often, a lack of proper communication will lead to unhappy clients. Even if you arrive at the client’s home on time and perform a thorough cleaning, you must be open to the client’s requests. If they point out a problem with the service, clarify what they would like to see. If a mistake was made, simply apologize and continue cleaning with the customer’s needs in mind.
Before and after the service, make sure you are responsive to all calls and emails. Customers will appreciate the time and effort you put into maintaining open communication with them.
Follow these residential cleaning business tips this season and you’re sure to leave behind both a sparkling home and a happy customer. You’ll be giving your clients peace of mind when you not only provide in-depth cleaning and customized plans, but also open communication, attention, and courtesy.
